Summary

The production Sub-Leader provides basic leadership and support to an assigned production line/area. This is accomplished by activities including but not limited to training associates, problem solving within assigned work area, and maintaining open and effective communication with team members and the team leader.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Convey accurate information to all departments through various forms of communication
  • Solve problems that arise in assigned work area and be able to assist resolving issues from supporting departments
  • Motivate self and others to accomplish assigned tasks including working independently and as part of a team
  • Fill in for the Team Leader during his/her absence or as needed
  • Assign tasks directed by the Team Leader
  • Support and adhere to policies and procedures
  • Be flexible within assigned area to support the department
  • Work flexible overtime to support department
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including all non-essential or non-major activities


Minimum Level of Education and Training Required
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • Beginners level Excel, Word, and PPT

Preferred
  • Similar leadership experience


Preferred Knowledge and Skills
  • Good communication skills including ability to convey accurate information to all departments
  • Good practical problem solving skills
  • Be a self-starter
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to motivate others


  • Must be task oriented
  • Ability to read, understand, and explain policies and procedures
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job you may be asked to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift or carry component parts weighing up to 33 pounds and lift parts in excess of 33 pounds with a lift assist, use hands to handle or feel parts, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear, use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
