Machine Design Engineer

    Duties& Responsibilities

    · Designfixtures and machines for manufacturing and product handling

    · Modifymachinery for new model introductions, safety or quality improvements

    · Writedetailed equipment specifications for the procurement of manufacturingequipment

    · Lead inthe start-up and debug of new equipment

    · Manageprojects from inception through completion

    · Supportand improve existing manufacturing processes

    · Willingness to travel, train, andsupport DENSO group companies throughout North America and globally

Minimum Qualifications

  • SME or BSAE degree from accredited institution
  • CAD modeling experience, prefer SolidWorks
  • Experience reading and creating engineering drawings including dimensions and tolerances, GD&T, and other related drawing symbols
  • Minimum of 3 years post education experience.


· Knowledge of engineering materials (plastics and metals) and coatings (friction and wear)

· Knowledge of pneumatics or hydraulic fluid power systems

· Knowledge of electrical sensors, vision and other machine sensing systems

· Experience designing rotational and linear motion systems

· MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project; VB knowledge or other program languages preferred

· 2 or more years designing and procuring equipment for manufacturing and assembly processes
