Electrification Business Strategy Lead

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly energetic and motivated individual with extensive experience collaborating in a global company environment to lead research, strategy development, and execution , ensuring the successful introduction of automotive electrification products at a local and regional level.

Essential Duties:
  • Collaborates with Executives at all affected Business Units to establish electrification product strategy.
  • In coordination with Sales and Engineering, interacts with OEMs to understand their product and business needs to incorporate into the strategy. Works with sales teams to establish the strategy for approaching OEMs for electrification products, including business prioritization.
  • Coordinates with R&D and Application engineering teams to establish strategic product benchmarking. Conducts initial market research related to electrification products.
  • Assesses financial and technical feasibility, in collaboration with other related departments
  • Works with Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing to establish Pricing and Cost targets in accordance with the business strategy developed to ensure target business expansion opportunities.
  • Partners with Business Planning groups to understand and visualize cost structure challenges and propose optimization opportunities such as:
    • In-house vs. Buy strategies
    • Supplier development strategies
    • Supplier cost down strategies
  • Works with Global R&D departments to establish future product strategies based on market research.

Base and Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business fields; additional MBA degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 or more years of experience, including some prior program management experience
    • Minimum of 3+ yrs. specifically in Automotive Electrification product experience such as Inverter, Motor Generator, Battery Management, Thermal Management is preferred.
    • Minimum of 3+ yrs. experience in Product or business strategy creation for automotive or other related products is ideal.
  • In-depth understanding of product electrification concepts and principles.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences, including engineering, sales, business planning, purchasing and top executives

  • Electrification technical expertise and project management skills, with a wide range of experience in product and business development cycles
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
  • Deep product cost and pricing structure understanding
  • Supplier strategy development experience
