Cyber Threat Specialist

Job Summary:

DENSO Maryville is looking for a Cyber Security Specialist passionate about building & maintaining innovating solutions to protect our manufacturing environment against the ever-expanding spectrum of cyberattacks. You will be responsible for defending our critical information and computer networks from simple to highly sophisticated breaches and you'll need to stay current on IT security trends, technologies as well as threats and risks so you can take appropriate measures to keep our business and platforms protected.

You'll lead the implementation, communications, monitoring and maintenance of our cyber security program, including identifying critical systems and critical digital assets, addressing cyber security gaps as well as controls for each critical digital asset, and maintaining our cyber security attack mitigation and incident response capability.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide security monitoring and incident response services required by the business, in alignment with Cyber Security's mission to protect DENSO's Digital Assets (including Industrial Control Systems) by constantly monitoring suspicious and/or malicious traffic across the entire production environment.
  • Act as internal SME on matters relating to cyber intrusion detection and incident response.
  • Lead investigations into network intrusions and other cyber security breaches. Provide a coordinated response to complex cyber-attacks that threaten company's assets, intellectual property, and computer systems.
  • Continually develop and improve DENSO's security monitoring and incident response processes and solutions as required to support our regional and north American cyber security program.
  • Research and recommend solutions for incident response and digital forensics.
  • Collect data on current security measures for risk analysis and generate monthly cyber threat status reports.
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning to identify weaknesses and collaborate with other DENSO cybersecurity teams to update defensive protocols as necessary.
  • Own, configure and maintain anti-virus software, firewalls, NAC's, SIEM software in conjunction with Network Operations team to manage software updates and patching.
  • Partner with internal cyber specialists to lead employee training against phishing and other forms of cyberattacks.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in Cyber Security or information systems ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of IT, including virtualized hardware, software and networking
  • Strong working knowledge of information security, specifically with penetration testing, intrusion detection, incident response including digital forensics
  • Bachelor's degree in information security or in a related field

  • CCNA Cyber Ops certification- Associate or Professional levels (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
