Cloud Engineer 3 (Quality Assurance)

We are looking for a QA engineer to drive and manage our testing frameworks, help build and refine automated tests, support the design and development of cloud applications and systems, and continue to find new ways make our advanced engineering organization better.

The role will work with a team of software engineers defining, documenting, and conducting testing of complex systems consisting of embedded applications, cloud services, and mobile apps. The QA engineer will contribute concepts, methods, and techniques for white/black box automated test cases and create frameworks to report the same.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain the automated test infrastructure that is used to validate all aspects of the product functionality.
  • Well versed in QA principles, and able to lead software engineers in this area.
  • Integrate with software configuration management infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to establish an automated test cycle.
  • Establish processes and tools to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports.
  • Define QA best practices for our application teams and assist them in implementing these processes.
  • Experience of working in a Scrum team using Agile concepts.
  • Familiar and comfortable in scripting languages - Ruby, Python, bash.
  • B.S. In Computer Science related field desired.
  • Great communication, leadership and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Strong in self-direction, problem solving and critical thinking.

Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience as a QA engineer or software development engineer in test (SDET)
  • Experience with load, penetration, and chaos test strategies and mechanisms
  • Familiarity with API test tools or test runners
  • Experience with Jenkins
