Software Engineer III (ADAS & HMI R&D)


General Summary:

  • Under limited direction functions as an expert technical resource

  • Interacts with customers and peer technical experts on advanced development initiatives and stays abreast of industry trends and regulatory compliance

  • Participates in developing long-term plans and strategy for area

  • Applies in-depth knowledge of cross product lines in creating product design concepts and overall system design concepts

  • Checks critical items and complex or critical drawings and engineering changes

Essential Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer the selectedindividual will work in our Research and Development department.

  • In a small team environment, participate in a user centric collaborative process for identifying end-user needs, market opportunities, project objectives, and user stories

  • The associate will be involved in all phases of development from requirements development, design, implementation a lightweight testing to develop functional prototypes of sufficient quality to successfully demo for various events and conventions

  • The associate will document key findings of user research, generate key requirements for future products and potentially guide the concept adoption/realization for a product team

  • The associates will need to be able to synthesis market trends through external market report and internal bench marketing activities

  • May assist quantitative human factors studies if refinement of concept prototypes is required

Core Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • At least three years of experience in Software development and integration in a research role

  • Experience with Computer Vision

  • Software development in C, C#, or C and Java

  • Android development

  • Good Communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Independent, self-motivator, and fast learner

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Software product design with Cameras

  • Master degree

  • Member of Society boards (SAE, ISO, IEEE, etc)

  • Must be willing to travel abroad (Europe and Japan)
